Alta Video — 1804: Vulnerabilities in crypto/x509 and net/http in Go versions before 1.23.5 and 1.22.11

Overview

Two vulnerabilities were discovered in Go versions prior to 1.23.5 and 1.22.11. CVE-2024-45341 allowed bypass of URI name constraints in x509 certificates by exploiting IPv6 zone IDs, impacting users of private PKIs utilizing URIs.
CVE-2024-45336 caused the net/http client to incorrectly handle sensitive headers during cross-domain redirects, potentially re-transmitting them after a subsequent same-domain redirect.

  • All Stable upgrade channel versions after and including 7.4.10.
  • All Beta upgrade channel versions after and including 7.4.0.

• Alta Video Cloud: from  23rd  January 2025

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Alta Video Beta upgrade channel version 7.4.0 and Stable upgrade channel version 7.4.10.

It is strongly recommended that all installations running an affected version are upgraded to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface.

A fix was deployed to the Alta Video Cloud on  23rd  January 2025. Alta Video Cloud customers do not need to take any additional action.

This issue has been fixed in Avigilon Cloud-Native Cameras Beta upgrade channel version 7.4.0 and Stable upgrade channel version 7.4.10.

It is strongly recommended that all Avigilon Cloud-Native camera installations running an affected version upgrade to the latest release as soon as possible. Releases are available to download through the Alta Video User Interface for Avigilon Cloud-Native cameras and the Avigilon Cloud-Native Camera Interface for unmanaged cameras.
